International Lodge Whitianga

International Lodge Whitianga provides residents with high quality accommodation and services in a secure and welcoming environment.

Lodge residents can enjoy all the comforts of home and have the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of outdoor, active lifestyle offered in the sea side resort town of Whitianga.

The lodge provides personal introductions to local sporting clubs, community activities and social events to those who wish to become part of this friendly NZ community during their stay with us.

Rooms

The lodge consists of 12 freshly appointed rooms with a large comfortable bed, all linen, electric blanket, desk, chair, wardrobe/storage facilities. 7 rooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms, while the remaining 4 have washbasins and a share bathroom with one other resident. The lodge has three double rooms/twin rooms available.

A separate bedroom area of the lodge is set aside for female residents to ensure up most privacy and security.

Kitchen
A well appointed kitchen is centrally located within the lodge, attached to the main living areas and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator, freezer compartment, microwave, rice cooker, bread maker, all necessary woks, pots, and pans and cooking utensils and cutlery. Residents can enjoy sharing cooking with friends or preparing meals independently with cupboard space allocated to each resident. Indoor/outdoor living is an important feature of the New Zealand lifestyle and the lodge offers a wonderful outdoor bar-be-que area, adjacent to the living areas. Communal outdoor dining is popular during the summer months.

Living Areas
The lodge provides a spacious indoor/outdoor living experience. The lounge has TV / DVD, Midi System and lounge suite. Dining area is fitted with large table and chairs flowing out to an outdoor living area.
Two outside covered areas are provided for smoking, as the lodge has a no-smoking policy.

Laundry & Cleaning

Full laundry facilities available, washing machines, dryer (dryer coin operated only), ironing boards, baskets, clothes line etc. A washing service is also available if you are unable to do your own at a cost of $12 washed, folded and delivered back to you.   Residents will be responsible for the general cleanliness of their own bedrooms.  Once a week, rooms are fully serviced with fresh linen and towels.  Shared bathrooms and livings areas are cleaned more frequently.

Internet / Telephone Facilities
The lodge has a computer available in the library/snug room off the living area, with free email and Internet access. The lodge telephone facilities include free local and incoming calls. Residents use phone cards to make toll and international calls home. If staying long term prepaid mobile phone packages can be purchased locally. Internet connections are available in each room, however set-up and maintenance of line will be at residents own expense.

Security
Each resident will be issued with a key to their own room and a key to the lodge. Residents are welcome to have friends at the lodge however after 11.30pm will need to leave the premises. The Lodge Manager will provide on site supervision and will provide after hours assistance if required.

Free To Use
Residents are welcome to use the sporting equipment including bicycles, tennis racquets, and the kayak (at their own risk) Free parking off street is also available.
